I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?
I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?
Wow....sorry Alex, I don't check in here as often as I used to. It seems all the posts are count downs and crap like that, so it's kind of been a bit of a turn off for me. OpSec isn't being enforced like I was told it was. Oh well. I really do hope you're hanging in there though. Deployments are a true test of grit for both ends. Keep your sense of humor girl, it will be your best friend when things are getting you down. Stay in touch, I miss chatting with you.

That's for sure! I lived in Florida while Steve was in boot camp and during the first part of his school in Chicago... between plane tickets, hotels, food, and other things it was definitely expensive!! I am actually going to visit the Bay area for the first time next week, I'm so excited! This is our first base, since he's out here for training for so long I decided to move with him!
Long distance is hard whether it's military or not! Which base is he at? We are in San Diego right now, and for the rest of his training and we love it! We are hoping he'll get assigned to his permanent station out here when he's done with his training! We have been together for about a year and a half, married since December! Steve and I actually knew each other in high school (we both played lacrosse!) but never dated, and then I went away to college and he stayed. When I moved home after college we randomly met one night, and hit it off and have been together ever since! How long have you and Will been together?
How is your deployment going? My husband is still in training for about another year before he gets attached to a ship so we have not gone through one yet. I am grateful for the extra time we have but also dreading it because I know it's inevitable!
Iv been through A deployment my fiancé is also in da air force it's very hard you just gotta try n keep ur self busy and maybe plan things wen he cums back to do to have sumthimg to look forward to for me I had my ups and dwns it was hard for me try n stay strong if u need to talk im here
