I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Today, my mom got me a necklace with the yin and yang pieces (the two charms come together to make the symbol), at it got me thinking about the whole thing.
Without one, the other cannot exist.
You can not know the cold if you never felt heat. You can not fear the darkness if you have never seen light. You can't appreciate the good if you never knew hard times.
You can never see the size and strength of your love, unless it's been stretched and tested. You can't fully appreciate spending time with your loved ones if you've never been apart.
The good and the bad together create a beautiful harmony that teaches us to appreciate what we have, when we have it. Because we've gone without.
If you're on this site, you love somebody in the military. Be it a parent, sibling, child, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever.
If you are with your love right now, enjoy your time with them. You've known times without them, and the time where you have to be without them again always comes too quickly. Rejoice in the wonderful part of this cycle.
But most of us are apart from our military loved ones. Remember, this is just the bad helping us realize the good.
Since thinking a lot about this, I have felt a calm. I wanted to share this to hopefully help provide a calm for others.
Love you all! Stay strong <3
