I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

My bf will be coming home soon in a few weeks from a 7 month deployment. Actually this is my first deployment with him, but he is been deployed a lot of times already. His been in the marines for 9 years already. We were texting last night and he told me that their will be big changes when he comes home..He told me that for the first few weeks or maybe a month or so, I have to deal the post deployment stress. I have no idea what it is so i searched them..Does anyone here, whose been through a lot of deployments can give me advice on what to do..

Comment by Bambi Miller on May 4, 2012 at 12:24pm When my boyfriend came home in Sept (yes he just left again yesterday), he was impatient and didn't like being in crowds. I think the biggest thing I noticed was his driving. He had NO patience in traffic. I think it made him really anxious. After some time it all seemed to get better and he was pretty much back to normal, as normal as a Marine can be lol, after a couple of months. I just had to learn to give him space when he got stressed. He's been through this several times so he probably has a bit of routine for readjustment so just roll with him and be flexible.
