I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

One moment in time...

We must take one day at a time when our loved ones are gone.  To bite off anymore than that is just too much to swallow.  If we look at deployments or any separation from our military loved  ones as one chunk of time, it can be overwhelming and seem non-doable. So day by day we mark off a baby step toward that moment we dream about.  The moment when our eyes meet and we are together again.  We imagine the touch of their skin and the familiar scent we know so well and how amazing it feels to wrap our arms around them.  That's the moment that makes all of this worth it.  The pain of their absence will be erased when we can finally hold them in our arms once again.
