CAMO - Connecting All Military Others
I am finally coming to the end of a LONG road here. Since September 2010, my husband has been deployed, and then in a medical hold pattern on the other side of the country. During this time, I have had 4 days with him, and those were also technically work days for him also. Within the next couple of weeks (not mentioning exact days or dates :D), he will be home on a permanent basis - apart from occasional official meetings and trips for medical treatments. In this 24th year in the Army, we can finally look forward to the big R, retirement! With 4 OIF/OEF deployments, as well as many other missions etc over the years, I can finally plan for holidays, vacations etc. Through it all, I think to myself, there is someone that is WAY worse off then me, some people do not get to have their spouse come home at all. And though it has seemed tough at times, I know I CAN be strong when needed. I have gone through the holidays, birthdays, loss of family and loved ones, moving home, my own health issues; AND I SURVIVED. Stay strong my fellow home-warriors, with the support of one another, this road gets a little shorter.
