I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

I need some advice
I thought I posted this a little earlier, but I don't see it anywhere. My fiance and I are trying to plan this whole wedding and its getting really stressful. One of my really good friends who I had decided I would like to have as a bridesmaid is a lesbian, but by the time we will be getting married, she will be on testosterone and have changed her name and be on her way to making herself into a male. I had come up with the solution that he could wear a tux that matches my bridesmaid…

Protocol and Etiquette 2
New to being a Military SO or Spouse? Moving to a base soon? Or planning a first visit soon?
Here are a few things you'll need to know:
When entering base:
-If its dark turn off your lights (use park lights), you don't want to blind the guard.
-Hand your ID proper side up its courteous.
-Sunglasses off your face. The guard needs to be able to check your face to your ID.
-Use hands free Cell phone while driving on…

Mother-In-Law's Visit
I would like to say sorry for the complaining ahead of time, but I really just need to vent and could also use some advice. My husband and I haven't been married a year yet. We aren't making enough money to where we can do whatever we want with it. We have to budget, especially in the first half of the month since that's when all our bills come out. We can't spend anything, we can only spend money for fun in the second half of the month. Well his mom decided she was going to come visit us…

OPSEC (Operations Security)
PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE OPSEC!!!
My point of this post is NOT to lecture anyone that is trying to express their feelings, but to inform them of OPSEC. When OPSEC is violated our loved ones are in danger. We have to remember, anyone can read our posts not just the CamoConnect people that are in the group. Our posts on here are NOT private and secure. I know a lot of people know what OPSEC is, and some…

Torn
My boyfriend keeps hinting at and talking about getting me an engagement ring and getting married and all such as that. I want nothing more in the world than to be his girl forever. However, I'm 18 and he's 19. Is that too young to make such a permanent decision? He is taking leave sometime around Christmas (we think) and he keeps saying things like "you're going to remember this for the rest of your life." I know I don't want to get married right now seeing as I'm a full time student and…

Okay where to begin with this....So my fiance and i have been together for 16 months now. And he used to always call me especially right after he got out of bootcamp. But these past couple of months ive been noticing that hes not calling or texting me hardly ever. He only calls me first if he wants to tell me something....and he only texts me once in a blue moon. Thankful for Technology
Every time I miss my husband, which is pretty much every second, I think back to his grandparents stories, and their experience with the war. My husband's grandma, and her sisters waited months for a telegram or word that their husbands were safe. I get some sort of communication almost daily from my Marine, usually an email or a text, and occasionally a phone call. But what I am most thankful for is Skype! Tonight as I was about to get my toddler in the bath he said, "Daddy watch me."…

So Sad
So idknow what is up with my boyfriend, but he hasn't really called me like he used to, he goes out and parties with his friends on the weekends, and we haven't even skyped in like almost two months. During the week I understand he's always busy with work and then he does his boxing/MMA training after, but every once in a while I would like something other than just a text. I wanna hear his voice, I wanna see his face. Ugh I feel like crying most of the time and it's like I can't sleep or…

just some venting
I've been feeling a little pushed away from some of my civilian friends. It's not because they don't understand, which they don't, but I think they may be tired of hearing me talk about missing my soldier. Before I was scared of moving away next year but now I'm glad I am because I want to make new friends, ones who understand. I mean I'll really miss my family but there aren't many friends I can say that I will truly miss because I know right after I leave they'll most likely not keep in…

Wedding?
Ok I already posted blog about this but I am curious what you guys think of getting married at the courthouse before he leaves for training and once we are settled in wherever he is stationed we can have the wedding we wanted to have originally.
I've heard a lot of really negative things about this idea. Basically that you get married once and that's it. I feel like this is under different circumstances though.
I really appreciate any feedback anyone has or maybe someone…

Fiance joining Army//figuring out wedding??help!
I am new to the Army life as well as to this website. My fiance and I have been together for four years in June, we are newly engaged. When we first got together he wanted to join the military and I wasn't totally up for it and it's been four years so I realized I can't hold him back from what he wants to do so I am standing by man a 100%. I am just trying to figure when we can have a wedding. I appreciate any insight or advice that you can offer.

Military Man's Promise (Gets me every time)
Military Man's promise: I cannot promise you every night of my life. I cannot promise to be beside you for every difficult moment, every trial, and every hardship. In truth, I can promise you that I will not be with you for most. I will leave you at inconvenient times. Any special date to us may be tainted with the anniversary of the death of one of my friends. I will ask you to take over whatever life we have built together for months and years at a time. And will then crash back into that…
