CAMO - Connecting All Military Others
Okay I know some of you ladies will be able to relate to this. So my guy and I are high school sweethearts and we've been together 3 years so I have been around his parents plenty. And we get along and they do like me. But his mom has always had a tough time letting go of her little boy :/ I mean before he left for BC he would be over at my apartment and we'd be hanging out and she would call and ask where he was and when he was going to be home and blah blah lol. So anyways she hasn't quite…Continue
Hello ladies. How are all of you? Well I hope. Ok, so I'm gonna go ahead and get to the point. My girlfriend is coming up on the end of her leave. She will be leaving for MCT in 5 days. With that being said, I am trying to spend as much time with her as possible. My plan is to squeeze in whatever time we have between me working and her working (RA). This task can be difficult because we work different hours. So last night we got a chance to go out. I decided to get tickets to an open mic…Continue
Sunday was my highschool graduation. I had to be awake at 6:30. Around 7 I was getting ready. All I had done was put on my dress when he called on Skype. The first thing I said was "What are you doing awake at 1am??" (He's one of those people that goes to bed every night at 10. It's like clockwork). He was saying he couldn't sleep. Likely story.
So, we listened and danced to music together via Skype as he watched me brush my teeth and do my hair and makeup.
It was the first time…

Made for Each Other
By: Kristen Brown
Last night I dreamed dreams of romance
Cascading over waterfalls of passion
And there we stood
Old as time
The first man and woman
I was given to you from the most high God
and molded from your rib
Where I would forever stay bound to you
And then our story began
Its funny how all of…Continue
Today, my mom got me a necklace with the yin and yang pieces (the two charms come together to make the symbol), at it got me thinking about the whole thing.
Without one, the other cannot exist.
You can not know the cold if you never felt heat. You can not fear the darkness if you have never seen light. You can't appreciate the good if you never knew hard times.
You can never see the size and strength of your love, unless it's been stretched and tested. You can't fully…

Today I will go and mourn a man I never met and the two who fell with him. I will stand and support my soldier as he remembers what has to be the most horrific day in his life. I will be strong for him and his friends and brothers because that is what a military wife does. I will be proud because these men made the ultimate sacrafice for their country. I will listen to the stories of war even as I know many of these men will be returning to deployment soon. As much as it hurts me, I will…Continue

Well I feel somewhat better than I did earlier. I took my daughter to dinner and we talked but not about much, just her plans for the summer. I am usually the one in control of my feelings and emotions I hold it all together. I am the one who holds everyone together and am the rock and have to be strong. I have been this way my whole life, so when I have a mini break down, I hold it in and today I couldn't hold it in anymore. I am dealing with this, I am stressed about other things and i…Continue

If this offends you, chances are, you've done it. First of all, to all the girls who think its a “job” being a military girlfriend/fiance/wife, you’re PROBABLY in the wrong relationship. You want a job? Go do what they’re doing while they’re away. THAT’S a job. Yes, it’s hard. Yes, I am a fiance of a Airman, but I don’t give myself a “job title” by being that. Yeah, I miss him. I miss him alot. We all miss our SO’s. Doesn’t give us the right in…Continue
Hi all, I don't come on here very often, I am sure it helps knowing others are going through the same thing. My family and friends certainly don't understand. I sit looking back over this time I never thought I would fall in love with a military man. I am proud of him as I am sure all of you are too. I keep myself busy but it doesn't take away that I miss him, the last few nights I have had a hard time sleeping, I am not sure why exactly. I am adjusted as best as I can to him not being…Continue

I pray that i can marry my soldier, work my full time job, go to my internship and get my 120 hours before july 13th and do well in my one class i have for 5 hours a day once a week. Still see my man and hope his pre deployment leave can be changed so I can spend time with him. I hate that I am not already done with school it would make this so much easier. I am so stressed and cry all the time and i just need something that lets me know its all going to work out. I am falling apart and he…Continue
I Know Some Of Us Never Expected To Be In A Relationship With A Military Man & Being Away From Them For Long Periods Of Time. I Know I Didn't. But I Think Being In The Situations & Life Styles That Are Put In Front Of Us Have Made All Of Us Girls Stronger & Changed Our Ways Of Thinking In Many Ways. I Know I Have Learned A Lot About Myself As Well As My Love & Relationship With My Airman & I Wouldn't Change Anything For The…Continue

A Military Man's Promise: I can't promise you every night of my life. I can't promise to be beside you for every difficult moment, every trial, and every hardship. In truth, I can promise you that I will not be with you for most. I will leave you at inconvenient times. Any... special date to us may be tainted with the…Continue
Is what I've been doing lately. I've been so busy that I haven't had much time to update on here as often as I used to. :/ Michael's deployment is going by faster these days, we're in the double digits now until R&R so that's a plus! (I'm not saying how far into the double digits though!) And school is almost out for the summer which means the real work begins so I can pass the summer time as quickly as possible.
I've been keeping busy with this new business I've started, that…Continue

He has an unexpected sudden deployment coming up next month so they are shoving so much training onto them. We weren't supposed to be able to talk for the next month bc they left for a training facility but last minute they were able to take their phones. Its been one or two texts a day so really no talking still. I asked him earlier to make a promise not to change his mind about me while deployed, this is his second deoployment, and well he got mad. I dont think he will forget about me or…Continue
