I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Hey Nikki,
I saw your post on the Mother's page. My son just finished his deployment a couple of weeks ago. He arrived home for his leave just this weekend. It was his first deployment. One thing that I did that helped a LOT was found other moms who had sons in his unit. I created a Facebook page that ended up with more than 100 members.... all with kids in the same unit. It helped to know what other moms were feeling on a daily basis.
I was able to hook up with the first couple of moms through the Marine Parents web site.... then they invited people.... we worked hard at maintaining OPSEC but shared what information we could. It was a "secret" page so only those invited and approved through the administrators could participate on the page.
Maybe this site will help you connect with others!
