I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

My boyfriend and I have been together for about two years.
For about six months now, he's been in the Army and of course we've had to endure some major changes in our relationship...everyone knows that I have a special place for him and my heart and that is the driving force behind me continuing to stay by his side. Love is what got us to this point and with it and God, I have faith that we will always be okay.
Well, my major point is, I feel like I've went from having all the…

Cant say enough how much i love my military man. We were high school sweethearts before this life AND NOW, we go through the notions of this crazy lifestyle because of the love that binds us.
Im still adjusting to the once a week calls and the weekly letter i get from him-not being able to drive around the corner to his house or call and harass him when im bored. All the things average couples take for granted, I miss on a constant basis, but I have to stay strong-not just for my…

Bre McDonald said… yeah no kidding! i seriously did not see it coming at all, but everything happens for a reason and it has made our relationship stronger than ever. it has made me stronger as well. it was for the best! i know at some point that we will be together down the road just us two starting everything out. but as of now i am content :) alex graduated from fort benning. that was last july.
Bre McDonald said… yeah, i'm sure you'll be able to come up with something really meaningful! you could google it or post a blog on here and i'm sure one of the girls will be able to help you.
i'm from port washington, wisconsin. small town north of milwaukee (most people kinda have an idea of where that is haha) that's where alex is from too. we met my freshman year (his sophomore year) and have been together pretty much ever since.
How about you, where are you from?
Bre McDonald said… yeah we were alone, i flew down by myself. it was really nice. i enjoyed it a lot and it did fly by so fast, i wish it didn't though. i loved it! his friends were awesome and i met one of his buddy's wife and we hung out with him a lot and that was a blast. it really made me want to move down there with him. :) too bad i can't though. i totally would after college!
i went to alex's graduation at fort benning and it was SO neat. the whole graduation was so interesting to watch. i surprised him though. i kept telling him i couldn't go down there because of work and he was so sad about it. so like a week and a half before his graduation i booked a flight down there. i went with his mom and his sister it was really fun though. i'm close with his mom and sister so it made it fun. but it's always nice having him to yourself, it's hard sharing him. i struggled with that a little bit when he came home and all his friends came over and really wouldn't leave him alone, but i got a lot of time with him and his friends ;) it's okay though. whatever makes him happy. :))))
