I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

- I am currently in school to become a Paramedic. Russell and I have been together for a little while now, and this is his first deployment, and our first together. We went to High School together, and recently met back up and decided to get together. Not long after, he got his orders but we decided to work through it. He is by far the best thing in my life, and is my rock as I am his as well.

I'm reading the book "Fearless" about the Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator, Adam Brown. (great book, EVERYONE needs to read it!!!) In it, his wife Kelly says
"We were all pretty naive and innocent back then. We were young military couples just starting to have kids. We knew what our husbands did, what they trained for, but it was peacetime. In my mind it was like what they did was a movie. What they were training for would never really happen."
