I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Parents, Check. Husband and Wife, Missing.

Well... It has happened. Matt and I have lost being husband and wife. We both know that we have and that we have to have our own time to get back a balance between being young parents and newlyweds. In May we will be married for one year. He is trying to act as though everything is the same now as it was before we got married. Which, lets face it, everything from now on is flipped. But that doesn't mean that we have to lose what we have, does it?The biggest thing that really annoys me is that…See More

Personal Info
My name is Leslie and I have a wonderful husband in the Army. We are getting close to finishing up our first deployment in June. It has been a hard year but we have been making the best of it. In February our son, Chase, was born with some complications so Matt was not able to bring him home from the hospital. He was able to be there for the birth but left when he was 3 days old. He has been doing amazing with the changes of being a new father while thousands of miles away. We are really looking forward to him being home so we can all be together as a family.

My youngest brother is also in the military. He joined the Marines after he graduated high school in 2011. Currently he is in California. He will be deploying to Afghanistan in September. I am so proud of him. It will be hard seeing him leave.

Kyle, my brother-in-law, is in the Army Reserve and has been to and back from Iraq. He has been a great addition to our family. He planning on being in the military for life, and he will be making all of us proud for many years to come.
