I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

So I have been thinking a lot lately about my past and where I am in life right now. I don't keep a journal or diary of any sort (but I really should) so I never get a chance to write about my day to day life and it all just piles up after a while. So now, finally, I am taking the time to look back at how far I have come and what events got me to where I am now, being part of the military family.

No one can teach you how to love someone from far away. No one can comfort the pain that distance brings. No one could prepare you for the moment when you have to say goodbye for months. i know! i love it :) We are currently engaged and in Indiana, he was in the Army based in Washington state for 3 years and in August we moved back to Indiana because he got out of active duty! yay! but then he joined the National Guard...but he only has drill once a month right now. So we are both living together in Indiana! finally, he isn't 3,000+ miles away in WA or deployed. it's nice meeting you too! I wish I had access to this site when Brent (my fiance) was deployed, it would have made things soooo much easier! how about you? I read your blog about your story together so I know a little bit...it's so stinking cute and romantic!
