My boyfriend/fiance (doesn't have enough money for a ring yet) is putting in a package to go from reserve marines to active. We plan on when it goes through probably in a year or two being married by then and living together on base. I'm still going to school and by then will be in about my third or fourth year. Hey all! Decided to join once the boyfriend and I received word of deployment in October. I've known him for years but just started talking a lot more while he was at MCT. We got together on his leave at Christmas, and I've had him home for a couple months now. Any advice and support on how to deal with these things is very welcome. Thanks!

Thank you for joining!  Feel free to blog or post about how you are coping with your deployments or just the military life.  Meet new friends and connect with others who also live the military life style. Thank you. The love i have for him keeps me going.  I tell him all the time that he makes Me so proud. He makes ALL of us proud.  And yes this is all worth it! I plan to go down to Vegas this June for his 21 birthday, since he is only about two hours away from there.  Hopefully he is not working that weekend.  It's crazy but amazing to have so much love for a person.  It's beautiful.

I went to his house at 5am to tell him goodbye and well i stood strong but once i drove away i broke down in tears.  He called me once he was taking off and i was in tears the whole day.  This has been the hardest hit so far.
