I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Patrick was kind of depending on deployment. He really didn't have much of a plan B, as far as I know. But now we know that the 25th Infantry Division will not be deploying until after his contract is up. Assuming he doesn't reenlist, he will never deploy.
With him being his usual busy self, coupled with his phone apparently not working properly and not having internet access in his room, I haven't gotten to talk to him at all since he gave me the news nearly a week ago.
Lately…

I'm coming to the realization that I'm losing my mind.
It hasn't been confirmed, but Patrick may be deploying this summer. I don't know how long it'd be for. It would be his first deployment.
The only person in my life that really gets me is my best friend's mom because her husband was in the Air Force. Early in their mariage, they were moving back and forth from the US to Germany. Even after my best friend moved out of her parent's house, I still go to her mom for comfort. She…

This one is because I'm my parent's only daughter (I have 4 little brothers). My dad says he has only one chance to scare a perspective son-in-law sh!tless.
My mom placed a bet on how long before Patrick proposes. In May, she gave it 6…

I know I just put up a blog post, but something has come up since then.
Patrick's whole thing with going in to the army was so that when he started a family, there wouldn't be any financial stuff to worry about like he had to growing up. That everything would be taken care of.
He signed on while single.
Every once in a while, I get a lengthy text from him saying how much he misses me, and how much he just wants to hold me.
It started out as a simple usual text…
