I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Every time I miss my husband, which is pretty much every second, I think back to his grandparents stories, and their experience with the war. My husband's grandma, and her sisters waited months for a telegram or word that their husbands were safe. I get some sort of communication almost daily from my Marine, usually an email or a text, and occasionally a phone call. But what I am most thankful for is Skype! Tonight as I was about to get my toddler in the bath he said, "Daddy watch me."…

I work full time, am raising our toddler, and stay busy, but no amount of busyness can fill the void in my life. A piece of me is in Afghanistan, and I just don't feel whole without him. 5 more months until my husband, best friend, and father of my child, will be by our side, acting silly, reading stories, making milk shakes, watching Yo Gabba Gabba, rocking our son to sleep, and holding me in his arms.
