I've been sending things based on holidays in that month. And I just sent one with "little kid snacks" like fruit rollups and pop tarts and easy Mac. I put little brown bags together and sent 6 or 8 different lunch sacks with an encouraging note in each one, sealed, with his name on the outside ( just like mom used to do)

If you have a good FRG get involved.  If you don't have a good FRG, help improve it, if you don't have an FRG....start one.  A good FRG is the key to staying in touch with others close to you that are going through similar situations.  Stay busy and improve your life while he's gone.  Be sure you are doing something positive so when he comes back you have good stories and experiences to share.
