I have three beautiful girls.  This would actually be my first deployment with all three, so I'm hoping for the best.  I'm trying my best at preparing myself for 7 months, but I get overwhelmed easily.  Being a stay at home, attending a 15-month-old, and completing my online college courses is definitely stressful, and at times...frustrating.  How does anyone cope?  My twins know he's leaving, but they definitely don't understand it since they are just turning 6.  And this would be the baby's first deployment, so I'm afraid for her "/

I have 3 kids ages from 8-2 years old. I believe your actions on how you handle the deployment reflects on the kids and how they can deal with it. My kids are dealing with this deployment pretty well, alot better than I thought they would. We still talk about him everyday as if he is still here and have pictures of him all over the house. I also had them made daddy dolls and quilts with their dad on them. They miss him dearly and express that alot. But When they seem to have their down moments, Ive found making stuff for him and sending it to him while he's deployed lifts their spirits up some. My hubby is gone for a yr and we just passed the halfway mark. I clearly have my moments but I dont let them see it cause I dont want them to worry.
