Comment by Samantha Annis on December 10, 2012 at 12:34pm My husband and I are both on our first deployments, in separate areas of Afghanistan. It definitely has NOT been easy! I have learned the meaning of "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" and have come to appreciate the little things in life with my love. We are almost home though!
Just remember when things get hard (which they will at one point or another!) always end with "I love you's" and let your loved one know what they mean to you!!

Medical & Legal Transcription - MyCAA approved! Meditec offers a 2-3 month internship for the Medical Transcription Program which is a foot in the door towards an employment opportunity and gives you hands on experience. Comment by Stephanie Spencer on June 22, 2012 at 1:08am I'm going to be preparing for a deployment within the next six weeks or so, we are already long distance but we talk everyday and I know I could plan a trip to see him if I wanted so with the deployment it will be strange not having those things :/ the good thing (like you ladies have said) is that I will be in school and starting an internship while he is gone. And it will be over the holidays and while it will be sucky he won't be here, that time of year always seems to fly by for me :) I'm so glad I have this online support and I'm sure I will be venting to you all in the near future! :) thanks :)
Comment by Karine Silva on June 4, 2012 at 2:38am hey there, going through first deployment right now.. 5 months in, 5 more months until i see him for R&R :/.. its pretty tough. i dont know if its normal, but its hard to keep motivation while hes gone.. ive tried alot to make friends out here and thats also difficult too. im doing as much "stuff" as i can, but theres some days its hard to not want to sleep all day..
