I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Permalink Reply by Joshlyn Wallace on March 6, 2012 at 6:30pm I have lap band, I don't really work out, I'm pretty lazy, I make my band do all the work, but I know that PROTEIN is very important, if you need a good powder, I'd recommend Chike (www.chikenutrition.com) right now they're giving away free samples, I think of all 5 flavors, you just pay $6.95 shipping, which is a good deal since normally those packets are $2 each, then you'd still have to pay the $6.95 shipping, but mix two scoops of the powder, w/ 7-8 ounces of milk (I've always been a fan of 2%) shake well and enjoy. They actually taste slightly better if you put it back in the fridge after you've mixed it and let it get colder for like 15-20 minutes.

Permalink Reply by Abril Adams on March 6, 2012 at 9:22pm Everyone loses weight differently. I'm like you where I'll lose weight everywhere first then my tummy last. The only thing (I've found) that burns fat is cardio. You can run, cycle, stair step whichever but cardio will burn fat the quickest. Crunches and all that will help strengthen your muscles but women carry a layer of fat over those muscles a more then men so in order for them to show you have to burn that layer off first. So I would focus on cardio to burn the layer of fat first, then once you burn what you wanted to burn off THEN try to tone those muscles with strength workout (crunches, etc.) Drinking lots of water also helps you get rid of toxins that will help burn fat and make you feel over all healthier.
As far as diet, I wouldn't put yourself on a hard diet you can't maintain. If you give yourself too strict a diet then once you stop that diet you'll gain your weight back really fast! You want to focus on healthy rather than "skinny" if that makes any sense lol Make your fitness a life style instead of a phase. That way you can maintain it and it won't be hard to follow. Just pay attention to portions and make sure you get a little of each food group. Don't try to cut out all these foods you think adds weight just be sensible about it. Eat in moderation and choose healthy snacks if you get hungry throughout the day.Good luck ! :)
