I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

What made you fall in love with your military man??? Did you meet before or after he joined the service?

My soldier and I met during high school. Us falling in love was totally unintended. We thought we were just wasting time our last year in school. Drawn by physical and fell in love from an unexplained mental attraction...after date one, all we did was spend time together. Everyone around just thought it was a fling, and so did we at first, but here we are 2 years later and stronger than ever. When he told me he was joining the military, leaving him wasn't even a thought. I've never connected with anyone on soo many levels. Every other guy i had ever dated always seemed to lack in at least 4 areas and only keep my attention for a short period of time in life 1. No one has ever meant as much to me as my military man. He made me fall in love in more ways than one. I could go on and on with all the specifics but rather hear from you ladies for now. Do tell :)

1.A lot of things made me fall in love with him, and he still does stuff that makes me fall in love more and more.

2. We dated for a year, after that we got our own apt, after a year of living together he decided that he wanted to join, so off we went the next day to the recruting station, that same day he did the computer test, 3 weeks later he had a date to leave, we spent 6 more months together, and he left to boot camp/ait,  and now I'm just waiting for him to finish his contract, which is pretty soon. Time does flys.

Thats awesome! How long has he been in? And how long did he sign his contract for?

3 years this summer. & his contract is 3 years and some months.

My soldier and I met about 5 years ago through mutual friends.  To be honest, we both were not fond of one another at all!  After high school we all went our separate ways and he and I stopped talking and lost all contact.  A little over a year ago he found me on facebook (just a few days before I had thought of him and couldn't remember his last name).  We started talking again and spent 3 hours on the phone that night.  I found out that he had joined the service.  He came home during the summer for 2 weeks of leave and we got together and caught up.  After he returned to GA we started dating.  We were together just shy of 6 months the first time we were able to see each other again.  I knew I loved him instantly.  There was just something about it that made me feel complete.  Now, just about a year later we are facing our first deployment and planning a wedding! :)

I met John in high school. He did all kinds of things to make me fall in love with him. He really listened to me when I was rambling on about this or that. He looked at me in a way I've never been looked at before..and still does. He constantly tells me he loves me and how beautiful I am. When I'm having a bad day, he always cheers me up. It's been hard to not have him here while he's in boot camp but his letters constantly remind me why we are together.

When I found out he was joining the Navy, we weren't dating (We were best friends for 5 years, dated a year, friends again for 2 1/2 years, been back together 8 months). I called him crying and yelling at him. I told him he was making a huge mistake and that he had no idea what he was getting himself into.

After we got back together, I started to see more that this is what he really wants to do. He wants this as a career and I couldn't be more proud of how he's matured and grown through this whole process. I love him more than anything in the world.
