I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Permalink Reply by Joshlyn Wallace on March 5, 2012 at 12:01pm Ya'll want to know mine and my mom's secret to awesome scrapbooks? Stealing. We go around looking at other people's pictures of their scrapbook pages online and steal their ideas and adapt them to fit our own pictures. It may not be you're original idea, but it totally works, and it's still some of your creativity b/c obviously you had to adapt it to fit your pictures and your life events.
Permalink Reply by Gris on March 5, 2012 at 8:53pm I have a scrapbook of our first 2 1/2 years, and never did another one. But I buy stuff. DF hates going to Hobby Lobby, I go crazy at the sticker section. I get most of my stuff from Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Target $1 section or Joann's, and even ebay. Ebay have some pretty good stuff. I'll try to upload some pics.
Permalink Reply by Christina Erwin on March 5, 2012 at 8:55pm I've gotten pretty into it recently. It's something I do to relax, wind down, and kind of get away when I need to. I save so many little things just for the purpose of scrapbooking. Like when we take trips and we get a brochure from somewhere or a map I'll save those along with admission tickets to museums and such. I also have saved the cards that came with flowers he's sent me, movie stubs, etc. You can get tons of ideas online. Make use of what you've got and get inspiration online. For instance, if you want to put embellishments on the pages, you could do something like this: trace his dog tags onto cardstock or paper of your choice and handwrite or type his name inside of them. Then use a yellow ribbon or something to make the chain. Be creative and have fun! Michaels, Target, and Walmart sell tons of supplies.
