I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Permalink Reply by Paige Williams on February 19, 2013 at 6:28pm Most of the "rules" that you are probably inferring to are contained in OSPEC or Operations Security. I was able to find one specifically for friends and family of Army men. I have *hopefully* attached it here for you. Or you could google it. I'm sure the Army website might also have something as well but don't quote me on that. There are other things that are helpful to know which can be found at http://www.veteransunited.com/spouse/11-in-uniform-rules-every-mili...
Even as a girlfriend some of these things will be important to know. Hope this helps.

Permalink Reply by Paige Williams on February 19, 2013 at 7:44pm I had to ask my husband that... He says if the Army is anything like the Air Force and his Tech School is long enough then yes you will be able to. If not then you will have to wait until he has his first Duty Station to live together on base. He's not sure how it would work with the Army though so don't think that you for sure be able to. I would WAIT awhile and have him ask people at Basic or see if you might be able to google it. But he just left today... that right now is NOT important. Honestly, I would hold off on the getting married for awhile... let him get through Basic and Tech School, live "together" (meaning in the same city) for a little while once he gets his first Duty Station then decide if marriage is still what is best for you two as a couple.
