I need other peoples input!

Me & Freddy have known eachother for about 3 years now. I am 19, will be 20 in February & he is 18, will be 19 in October. We've dated off and on & loved eachother ever since. We just got back together at the begining of June 2012. He left now for bootcamp on June 17th. After he graduates, he will be home for about 10 days before he leaves again for more training. & We were talking about getting engaged. Not sure if it will happen, but i really hope it does. We love eachother alot and all of this I feel, is actually making us stronger. We both feel completely the same about eachother. & wish to be together forever. We wouldn't get married until his 4 years are up, but we want to be engaged during that time. Are we crazy for doing this? Are we too young? Should we wait? What are your thoughts?

Oh good, lol. I didn't think it was a bad thing. Like, it doesn't matter what age you are, as long as you know its right and everything there is nothing wrong with getting engaged or married young. I'm just scared what are families are going to say.

I was engaged at 18.. now 19. When my fiance returns from deployment in 7 mths we planned on getting married.   You do what you feel is right.  I can tell you that with this first deployment for me and my fiance... things have started to change some. 

Dont let anyone stand in the way of your wants and dreams. If you both feel its righ then do it. 

My mom and dad werent the happiest about the getting married soon part. His parent were about the same way.  But we both thought we are now adult and we make or own choices.

It's not too young. You're old enough to make decisions like that. We're the same way. We're talking about being engaged for the next three years then getting married.
