I'm so worried!!

So last night I got an email from my Marine. After 27days of hearing nothing from him I was so relieved to see his name come up on my email inbox. But... As I read it, he tells me he's in the hospital he's been shot through the shoulder!! My heart sank for a second I felt like I couldn't breathe. I mean I felt do bad for feeling like this after all he's just been shot he must feel so much worse right? Further in the email he says he won't be coming home he says he's going to heal up and get back to the others. So he's still due home in July. The selfish side of me feels like I really want him to just come home now as if I didn't miss him enough before! But on the other hand his bravery and dedication to his fellow Marines makes me feel like I could burst with pride! I am so proud of him and I love his courage and his heart. I fall more and more in love with him everyday! July can not come soon enough! May all our men out there in whatever field come home to us safely! Xo

Thankyou so much! Like I said I am in two places with it like wanting him to come home but also I am so proud! 
But being able to vent on here has made me feel better as I know the girls can relate to what I'm feeling. So thankyou for that!

Sorry to here this. hope he's alright. my thoughts are with everyone out there and there families at home. iv got 5 more weekends till my fiance goes to afghan my heads going crazy with thoughts already x

Thankyou!! I mean it was a week ago today that he emailed me and I found out all of this and I haven't heard from him since. But I guess that's just how it goes... You must be making the most of these 5 weekends you have left, my thoughts are with you. I mean I can't lie it is hard, but they are heroes :) and make us so proud! The great thing is this site because we can all talk and relate to eachother because a lot of people don't understand do they? Have you been through a deployment before? Xo

Nope this will be the first althrough he's been out there before which makes me feel a little better that he knows that it will be kinda like out there. Still think im going to have to stay as busy as i can otherwise i dont know how im going to cope. Im such a worrier anyway about little things :\ yes, this site is great! i kinda feel sorry for our mates though because it must be hard for them to know what its like for us and to know what to say for the best x

Yeah that's the same with me my bf has been out there before too but this is my first deployment with him. I am the same as you then worry a lot especially because this is like my first experience with a deployment I worry when it goes a long while without hearing from him at all because I don't really know how long is a normal amount of time to go without hearing anything from him. The longest I have gone is 4weeks! But yeah I definitely feel sorry for my friends most of them are so supportive, but I do get a few that say things like 'oh he probably cheats on you as he is away a lot' and 'he's not dead yet then?' that makes me mad because I think ok if you don't understand that's fine but then just don't comment... Xo

yeah that annoys me so much. one of my mates asked the other weekend why isnt Ben home and i was like hes just got a working weekend doing lesson and she was like what learning how to die! i was furious!

Yeah it's so annoying! I mean its fine they don't understand but then just don't comment because it's hard enough as it is we don't need to hear them things as well on top of it all! Doesn't stop us being proud of having brave strong men that look gorgeous in their uniform ;) lol
