I always wear my Marine Corps sweatshirt and I have a liscense plate that says "My heart belongs to a US Marine". Plus other things. I love to show my pride. How do you all show your pride?

I love the fact that no matter who I meet who has a loved one in the military, there's an immediate bond with that person. We just understand each other. What do you like?

Permalink Reply by Joshlyn Wallace on February 22, 2012 at 5:29pm I honestly have NO IDEA. All I know is that Tommy's pretty much packed and ready for the word to head out, he's deployment's pretty much up, so I assume any day now they'll be leaving. I read on his unit's facebook page that they've asked the wives and family's to stop sending mail b/c they'll be gone by the time it gets there. That was like a week ago. And then he's said that once they lift off from Afghan. he has to go back to Alaska for like 15 days (that's the only specific detail he's mentioned) then he's going to fly into the Houston airport and I'm going to pick him up and take him back to Nacgdoches, I have no idea how long he's staying, I assume he'll end up going to Waco to see his mom. Then he goes back to Alaska to finish up some paperwork, then he has to completely move to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky(at least I think that's right) which is where his original unit is currently at. He's estimated it'll be May or June before he steps foot in Texas again.
